St. Christopher Music



	"Why have the nations raged, and the peoples contemplated worthless things?"
	I started composing music for church when I took the organist/choir director position at my home parish of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Port Townsend, Wa. back in 1985. There were a number of Latin masses in the choir archives, but many of them were long, complicated and very dramatic, and the choir was very small. Over the years I composed simple mass settings for the choir, and eventually began to write hymn settings for existing Latin texts. Only recently have I branched out into responsorial psalm and antiphon settings. Now I'm sharing the music I God has given me. Below are links to one- and two-page previews of my masses and other choral works. If anything interests you, let me know and I'll send you a complete copy. The psalm and antiphon settings are here in their entirety, as is the unison congregation mass setting, Mass of St. Mary's. I am asking nothing for the use of my music, so make as many copies as you need. If you use any of my works, please let me know. 	Miscellaneous Works Antiphon - We Should Glory in the Cross Entrance Antiphon for Holy Thursday, Year A. This is a simple setting intended for unison congregation and SATB choir. Click here to download. Psalm 130 - With the Lord There is Mercy One oops - in the first verse (page 2, measure 2) the word "prayer" should be "voice". This setting is written very simply, and leaves much room for ad libbing on the accompaniment. Click here to download. Psalm 146: Blessed Are the Poor in Spirit - Responsorial Psalm. The text is verbatim, so this psalm setting can be used as part of the liturgy. Click here to download. Psalm 100 - We Are His People, the Sheep of His Flock Responsorial Psalm for 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A. Gospel-style setting for cantor and congregation.
